A design without photographs

Violet Night

A monogram inside a ring, in pale lilac and plum.

Violet Night has a night-time name, but it is actually light. The invitation sits as an almost white card on a pale lilac ground, with a soft halo of light at the top of the page. At its center, above the names and the date, sits a monogram of your initials closed inside a fine ring. The colors are muted (plum and mauve rather than bright purple), and the mood is closer to a fairy tale than a formal ball.

Style: formal & black tie, dark & moody

Violet Night in detail

The monogram appears first, before the names and the date, and a second, softer circle in the same mauve runs around the fine ring. The other elements then rise one after another, with a small delay, so the card assembles itself in front of the guest instead of showing everything at once. The same pale lilac holds the full length of the page, schedule and RSVP included, so there is no cut where the invitation turns into a form.

Right for you if…

  • Purple is your wedding color
  • Your wedding is in lilac, lavender or plum tones
  • You want a monogram, but in a more modern treatment
  • You prefer muted colors to bright ones

What this design includes

Whatever the design, every digital wedding invitation carries the same content here, and only the look changes:

  • Online RSVP: who is coming, how many with them and their names, allergies, a song request and a note to the couple
  • Schedule of the day: from welcome drinks to dinner, each with its own time and venue
  • Calendar and maps: buttons for Google and Apple Calendar, and directions to every venue
  • Your photographs: you can add up to two, though this design works without them
  • A countdown to the big day, and an occasion line under your names
  • One link to send by text or WhatsApp, and any change is visible to every guest straight away

How to build this invitation

You put the invitation together for free and watch it come together as you type, and you pay only when you want to publish it and send it to your guests. The whole thing takes about ten minutes:

  1. Enter your names, the date, and the time and venue of each event
  2. Pick Violet Night (or any of the 35 designs, since you can change your mind)
  3. Add your photographs and a note to your guests
  4. Publish and share the link, and the replies land on your dashboard

Every plan includes all 35 designs, so which one you choose does not affect the price. The differences are set out on the pricing page. Not sure which design to go for? This helps: how to choose a digital invitation.
