A design without photographs

The Poster

Typography instead of ornament: big letters, a strong statement.

There are no flowers on The Poster, no rings and no wreaths. The lettering is the ornament: your names are set across the full width of the screen in a large condensed face, on a ground the color of fired clay. It looks like a gig poster rather than a wedding invitation, and that is the entire point.

Style: minimalist

Rust, fired clay and cream.
Swipe the screen, this is the real invitation

The Poster in detail

The lines of the cover rise in from below one after another, with a small delay, so the cover appears to assemble itself in front of the guest. Heavy horizontal rules separate the sections in place of ornaments. Rust and cream keep the whole thing warm despite the severity of the type.

Right for you if…

  • You do not want the classic wedding aesthetic
  • The reception is urban: a loft, a gallery or a city venue
  • You like strong typography and graphic design
  • You want an invitation your guests will not confuse with anybody else's

What this design includes

Whatever the design, every digital wedding invitation carries the same content here, and only the look changes:

  • Online RSVP: who is coming, how many with them and their names, allergies, a song request and a note to the couple
  • Schedule of the day: from welcome drinks to dinner, each with its own time and venue
  • Calendar and maps: buttons for Google and Apple Calendar, and directions to every venue
  • Your photographs: you can add up to two, though this design works without them
  • A countdown to the big day, and an occasion line under your names
  • One link to send by text or WhatsApp, and any change is visible to every guest straight away

How to build this invitation

You put the invitation together for free and watch it come together as you type, and you pay only when you want to publish it and send it to your guests. The whole thing takes about ten minutes:

  1. Enter your names, the date, and the time and venue of each event
  2. Pick The Poster (or any of the 35 designs, since you can change your mind)
  3. Add your photographs and a note to your guests
  4. Publish and share the link, and the replies land on your dashboard

Every plan includes all 35 designs, so which one you choose does not affect the price. The differences are set out on the pricing page. Not sure which design to go for? This helps: how to choose a digital invitation.
